Saffa Huis is Amsterdam's home for South Africans — a community collective built around the things that remind us who we are. Braai smoke. Cold dops. Rugby on a big screen. Biltong at the bar. That feeling when you're surrounded by your people.

About six months ago, a bunch of us Saffas were sitting around drinking beer, as we do, and somewhere between the second and fifth round, someone said:
'Since the actual SAFFA Embassy is a bit of mess why don't we create a new SAFFA Embassy that we can actually rely on for South African related affairs?'
A place to come together, celebrate, dance, scream, shout at people chasing a egg shaped ball and just be South African — without having to explain ourselves or deal with long queues, unanswered phones, emails, you get the drill, we could represent home much better over here.
More beers followed, some biltong of course, a few big ideas and then we actually did something about it.
We are more than stoked to present to you...
